\(\text{Convert cm to metres:}\)

\(\rightarrow\ \ 60\ \text{cm}=0.6\ \text{m}\)

\(\rightarrow\ \ 30\ \text{cm}=0.3\ \text{m}\)

\(\text{Area of 1 paver}\) \(=0.6^2-0.3^2\)
  \(=0.36-0.09\)
  \(=0.27\ \text{m}^2\)

 

\(\text{Total pool area paved}\) \(=0.27\times 50\)
  \(=13.5\ \text{m}^2\)
