a.    \(\dfrac{7}{20}\)

b.    \(\dfrac{3}{20}\)

c.    \(80\)

Show Worked Solution

a.    \(\text{There are 20 divisions on the sector graph}\)

\(\text{Elephants}=\dfrac{7}{20}\)

b.    \(\text{Rhinos}=\dfrac{3}{20}\)

c.    \(\text{Let}\ \ n =\ \text{total big games animals in the park}\)

\(\text{Elephants – Rhinos}\) \(=16\)
\(\dfrac{7}{20} n-\dfrac{3}{20}n\) \(=16\)
\(\dfrac{4}{20}n\) \(=16\)
\(n\) \(=\dfrac{16\times 20}{4}\)
  \(= 80\)

\(\therefore\ \text{There are 80 big game animals in the park}\)
