a.    \($2.09\ \text{per cupcake}\)

b.    \(110\%\)

Show Worked Solution
a.    \(\text{Profit}\) \(=3.99-1.90\)
  \(=$2.09\)

b.    \(\text{Percentage Profit}\) \(= \dfrac{\text{Profit}}{\text{Cost of ingredients}}\times 100\%\)
  \(=\dfrac{2.09}{1.90}\times 100\%\)
  \(=110\%\)
